Self managed project using Design Against Crime as a theoretical client. A study shows that women fear “stranger danger” most, and they are more likely to be aware of danger when there are unknown men nearby. My aim is to prevent woman’s ‘ Fear of Crime’ and reduce the chance of single woman being attacked on the streets. This pregnancy bag is designed for woman who has this fear when they are travelling along, when a woman carries this bag in front , it will create a phenomenal of she is being pregnant while she can put her personal belongings in the pregnancy bag. Being pregnant would actually reduce the possibility being attacked and hiding her belongings would prevent her being robbed. This idea originally came from female thieves in Mexico using similar method to steal from the supermarkets. It is also a satire that design something against crime is to learn from the crime.
